On Thursday, August 18 2011, 3:45pm – 6pm, Adventure & Victory, Inc. hosts its 9th annual “Back To School Give-Away” Program at K B Polk Vanguard Elementary School, 6911 Victoria Ave., Dallas, TX 75209.
With an emphasis on supporting single parents in meeting the needs of their children to ensure that they are school-ready, Adventure & Victory, Inc. will give away 250 backpacks and school supplies. Sponsors such as United Universe, Inc. and several other organizations have provide donation to help facilitate the event success. In addition, there will be vendor booths, fun and games and live entertainment.
Founder Jacqueline Johnson is delighted to offer this annual event, and realizes the importance of organizations to sponsor these types of functions in support of the children. Having been a single parent for many years, according to Jacqueline, “Back To School Give-Away” gives single parents not just a hand out, but demonstrates continuous hope in the goodness of humanity.
For the past eight years, Adventure & Victory, Inc. has had the privilege of servicing over 4,000 children and their parents through their back to school program, and on Saturday they anticipate servicing even a greater number of children and parents than in the past. This is a family affair; entire families are invited to come. Come join us for this “Unity in the Community” experience!
